State-by-State Minimum Wage Levels

19 states increased their state-level minimum wages at the beginning of 2017. Currently, 29 states and DC have a minimum wage higher than the federal level of $7.25 an hour. Massachusetts and Washington have set the highest state minimum wages at $11.00 an hour.
